We present a simplified version of a beverage found on the seasonal drinks list. This is a party-sized prepared mix that's packed with flavours of the holiday season, rendering it excellent for hosting a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or for another batch of the drink.

To make the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Syrup: Put all the components into a pan, bring to a simmer, mixing so the sugar melts. After that, remove from the heat and let it to reach room temperature completely. Pour into a clean bottle, cap it and store in the fridge, it can be stored for around one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Combine every liquid ingredients in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through muslin, so it's completely strained.
For serving: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain into an frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries and complete it with a light spray of the essential oil above the glass.
